The late Hank Franzoni, a former trial attorney for fifty years, took up writing in retirement, and “The Thing That Ate Kickapoo” was his first venture into the children’s book arena. He was encouraged by his wife Carolyn Bracken, who has illustrated over 300 books in a career spanning several decades. She has worked for most of the top publishing houses, drawing for licenses as well as original works and is currently working on Magic School Bus and Fancy Nancy books.
